About The Position

This position is for a Registered Nurse II specializing in Oncology Infusion, working Monday-Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. The role is with the Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) as a regular employee. The nurse will be part of the CHS - Tidelands MB Oncology & Infusion team, working a 40-hour week on an hourly pay rate. The job description emphasizes the need for a Bachelor of Nursing degree, with specific requirements for those hired after July 1, 2013, to be enrolled in and obtain a BSN within a specified timeframe. A minimum of one year of experience as a registered nurse is required. The role also requires licensure by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. The position involves standing or sitting for extended periods, manual dexterity for patient care tasks, lifting and moving patients or equipment, visual and auditory acuity, stamina for demanding patient care, mobility within the clinical environment, and compliance with infection control protocols. Requirements

  • Minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse
  • Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time
  • Proficiency in manual dexterity and fine motor skills
  • Capacity to lift and move patients or medical equipment as needed
  • Visual acuity and color perception to accurately read medical charts, documents, and monitors
  • Auditory ability to effectively communicate with patients and colleagues, as well as to perceive important sounds such as alarms or patient instructions
  • Stamina and resilience to handle the physical and emotional demands of providing patient care, including long shifts and potentially stressful situations
  • Mobility to navigate clinical environments, including moving between patient rooms, offices, and other areas of the facility
