About The Position

Registered Nurse II (RN II) – Interventional Radiology (IR) RN II- Interventional Radiology Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together. Work location: Texas Health Arlington: 800 W. Randol Mill Road Arlington, TX 76012. Work hours: Part Time; 24 hours; 3 x 8 hour shift. 7:30a-4pm; rotating call. Strong IR foundation with rapidly growing vascular services, offering depth and career growth. Broad procedural exposure across Hybrid/OR (GE), CT, and Ultrasound. Requirements

RN - Registered Nurse upon hire required
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 days required
NIHSS- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification 30 days required
CPI- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually 90 days required

Nice To Haves

Nursing Diploma required Or
Associate's Degree Nursing required Or
Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred
2 years IR experience strongly preferred and/or 2 years ICU/ED strongly preferred if without IR experience.

Responsibilities

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
Assesses the patient
Plans the care of the patient
Intervenes as appropriate and evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care
Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, while expediting out of hospital transfers
