About The Position

Registered Nurse II (RN II) – Interventional Radiology (IR) RN II- Interventional Radiology Bring your passion to Texas Health so we are Better + Together. Work location: Texas Health Arlington: 800 W. Randol Mill Road Arlington, TX 76012. Work hours: Part Time; 24 hours; 3 x 8 hour shift. 7:30a-4pm; rotating call. Department Highlights: Collaborative, fast-paced team where RNs and techs partner closely with highly engaged, physicians. Strong IR foundation with rapidly growing vascular services, offering depth and career growth. Broad procedural exposure across Hybrid/OR (GE), CT, and Ultrasound. Department recognized by physicians for exceptional teamwork and patient-centered care.

Requirements

  • RN - Registered Nurse upon hire required
  • BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 days required
  • NIHSS- National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification 30 days required
  • CPI- Crisis Prevention Intervention Training maintained annually 90 days required

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's Degree Nursing preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred
  • 2 years IR experience strongly preferred
  • 2 years ICU/ED strongly preferred if without IR experience

Responsibilities

  • Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
  • Assesses the patient
  • Plans the care of the patient
  • Intervenes as appropriate and evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
  • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care
  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, while expediting out of hospital transfers
