The Department of Public Health (DPH), Communicable Disease Section, is seeking Registered Nurses II- Per Diem to support the Immunizations Mobile Vaccine Team (MVT) or the Wellness on Wheels (WOW) Project. RN IIs on the MVT will administer routine immunizations to eligible individuals, coordinate with schools for clinics, manage consent and eligibility documentation, record doses in the state immunization registry (CAIR2), and notify primary care providers. They will also assist with clinic setup/teardown, maintain vaccine inventory and temperature tracking, prepare supplies, and provide vaccine education. Additional duties may include supporting Perinatal Hepatitis B case management and other program needs. RN IIs on the WOW Project will provide mobile clinical services including STI/HIV testing, risk assessments, specimen collection, and field-based treatment. They will help develop standard practices, train staff, ensure compliance with testing protocols, maintain clinical records, coordinate with healthcare teams, support outbreak response, and cover Public Health Clinic Nurses as needed. These per diem positions typically involve 30-40 hours per week.
