About The Position
This is a float pool position for an ICU level Registered Nurse who is willing to float to MedSurg/Tele units within their scope of practice. The role requires specific experience with titration drips, cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV starts, blood product administration, CIWA, drain/tube management, catheter insertion/management, continuous bladder irrigation, chest tube maintenance, and cardiac procedural recovery.
Requirements
- 1.5 years general nursing experience
- BSN required
- MUST BE ICU LEVEL RN
- willing to float to MedSurg/Tele
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- NIHSS certification
- South Dakota or compact RN License
- Experience with titration drips: Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Levo, Dopamine, Insulin
- Cardiac rhythm interpretation
- IV starts
- Blood product administration
- CIWA
- drain/tube management
- indwelling and straight catheter insertion/management
- continuous bladder irrigation
- chest tube maintenance
- Experience with Cardiac procedural recovery (CABG/TAVR/post Cardiac Cath)
- MI pharmacology
- Heparin gtts
