About The Position

Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Clarksville location. This full-time position involves nights and offers the opportunity to work in a challenging, team-oriented, patient and family-centered environment. The ICU is a 21-bed mixed medical/surgical unit specializing in the close monitoring and treatment of patients with a wide range of diagnoses, including cardiovascular conditions, acute respiratory failure, ARDS, multisystem organ failure, sepsis, and more. The nursing team collaborates with intensivists, advanced practice nurses, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals during daily multidisciplinary rounds. The role requires a commitment to providing exceptional care and fostering growth in critical thinking, professionalism, and ongoing education. Requirements

  • LIC-Registered Nurse - Licensure-Others
  • Relevant Work Experience
  • Less than 1 year of experience
  • Graduate of an approved discipline specific program
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NIH
  • ECG interpretation

Nice To Haves

  • 12 weeks of orientation is offered based on nursing experience for nurses with at least one year of experience.

Responsibilities
