Our Intensive Care Unit specializes in caring for patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. This unit provides nurses the opportunity to develop strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and technical skills while caring for patients. Patients on this unit may include Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult.

Requirements

  • Current state RN license
  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing required
  • Basic Life Support required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
  • ACLS, PALS, and Handle with Care preferred
  • Experience preferred, but new grads welcomed to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs
  • Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions
  • Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient
  • Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record
  • Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
