About The Position

This role involves providing direct nursing care within an ICU Stepdown unit at Ascension St. Vincent Seton Hospital. The position is part-time, with rotating shifts, including nights (7pm to 7:30am) or days (7am to 7:30pm), and requires every third weekend and holiday rotation. The nurse will be responsible for implementing and monitoring patient care plans, coordinating care across disciplines, carrying out physician and nursing orders, and assessing discharge planning needs.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
RN ICU/Progressive care experience

Responsibilities

Implement and monitor patient care plans.
Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
