About The Position

We are hiring a Registered Nurse for the ICU Float Pool at Saint Thomas Midtown, West and Rutherford in Nashville, TN. This is a PRN position with Tier 2 scheduling for nights. The role involves implementing and monitoring patient care plans, coordinating care among disciplines, noting and carrying out physician and nursing orders, and assessing and coordinating patient care needs with the healthcare team.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's care needs with members of the healthcare team.
