This role involves providing for patient needs using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation), supporting the hospital's mission statement, supervising supportive personnel, and coordinating with ancillary services. It also includes educating patients and their families about their condition and care plan. Responsibilities include room/case preparation, assessing patient needs, and anticipating case requirements. This position requires call. Performance standards for ORRNs and RNs in the ICU are specified. As a Registered Nurse for Baptist Health, you will provide care to patients requiring treatment for various conditions, embrace the hospital mission, educate patients and families, interact with physicians and other departments, coordinate ancillary services, and act as a patient advocate. Participation in staff meetings and unit activities is also expected.

Requirements

  • Associate of Science in Nursing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Licensed Registered Nurse Required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Arts/Science (BA/BS)
  • 1-2 years Cardiac Experience
  • 1-2 years Telemetry Experience
  • Hospital Experience
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
  • Conscious Sedation Certification Preferred
  • Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Coordination and preparation of assigned room/case
  • Assessment of patient care needs and the anticipation of needs of the case
