About The Position

This role involves providing for patient needs using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation), supporting the organization's mission, supervising care provided by supportive personnel, and coordinating care with ancillary services. It also includes educating patients and their families about their disease process and care plan. Responsibilities include coordinating and preparing assigned rooms/cases, assessing patient care needs, and anticipating the needs of the case. This position requires being on call.
Requirements
- Associate of Science in Nursing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Licensed Registered Nurse Required
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Arts/Science (BA/BS)
- 1-2 years Cardiac Experience
- 1-2 years Telemetry Experience
- Hospital Experience
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
- Conscious Sedation Certification Preferred
- Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) Preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition
- Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement
- Educate patients and families to their disease process and plan of care
- Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital
- Coordinate care provided by ancillary services
- Act as the patient advocate
- Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities
- Coordination and preparation of assigned room/case
- Assessment of patient care needs and the anticipation of needs of the case
