About The Position

The Registered Nurse I (RN) on the 3 Palm Med/Surg Cardiac Telemetry Team plays a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. This role utilizes evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. The 6 Palm unit is a 36-bed Cardiac Telemetry Unit serving adult and geriatric medical and surgical cardiac patients with common diagnoses including AMI, ACS, CHF, complex arrhythmias, chest pain with elevated troponins, stable post STEMI/NSTEMI, CAD, PVD, AVR, MVR, and pre and post-op CABG. Procedures and treatments include cardiac drips, chest tubes, pre & post pacemakers, stable post-op epicardial pacers, ICD, PCI, EPS, CTO, ablations, endarterectomy, thoracotomy, peripheral artery repair, and vascular surgery. Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
  • Candidates must have at least 6 months of RN experience, this position is not for new grads
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
