About The Position
This role involves acting as a hands-on mentor to nursing and support staff, assessing daily patient needs, crafting strategic assignments, evaluating care effectiveness, serving as the first point of contact for patient or family concerns, and playing a key role in unit growth by providing input on hiring and professional development.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing required.
- Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.
Responsibilities
- Act as a hands-on mentor, guiding and educating nursing and support staff.
- Assess daily patient needs and craft strategic assignments.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of care on the floor, identifying hurdles and ensuring standards of excellence.
- Serve as the first point of contact for patient or family concerns, resolving challenges.
- Provide input on hiring new talent and shaping the professional development of peers.
