About The Position

This role is for a Registered Nurse House Supervisor at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita, KS, within the Nursing Administration department. The position is part-time and scheduled for nights. Associates are eligible for tuition discounts and priority placement in select healthcare programs through an academic partnership with Wichita State University.

Requirements

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing required.
• Required professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.

Nice To Haves

• 2+ years of inpatient nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Act as a hands-on mentor, guiding and educating nursing and support staff.
• Assess daily patient needs and craft strategic assignments.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of care on the floor, identifying hurdles and ensuring standards of excellence.
• Serve as the first point of contact for patient or family concerns, resolving challenges.
• Provide input on hiring new talent and shaping the professional development of peers.
