Registered Nurse - Hospital at Home - Bloomington South Region - FT Days
About The Position
This position supports the South Region, serving patients within a 30-mile radius of IU Health Bloomington. The RN will provide in-home visits for patients enrolled in the Hospital at Home program. Mileage reimbursement is provided. Candidates must have prior inpatient RN experience. Home health experience is preferred but not required. IU Health Care provides patients comprehensive care delivered by a highly trained interdisciplinary team. Hospital at Home nurses will experience a team approach to serving patients as well as the flexibility and autonomy to do their jobs and provide patients with individualized care. We provide one on one patient centered care and education as well as critical thinking and clinical skills including but not limited to infusions, line care, catheter care, wound care, VAC management, chronic disease process management and education. Requirements
- Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN).
- Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
- Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
- Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
- Prior inpatient RN experience is required.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Home health experience is preferred but not required.
- Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
- Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
