About The Position

Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is seeking a Registered Nurse for its High Risk Surgical Clinic (HiRiSE TVC) in Nashville, Tennessee. This role involves applying the nursing process to plan and implement patient care, including education and continuum of care planning. The nurse will communicate patient information to the healthcare team, collaborate on patient goals, and evaluate progress. The position emphasizes professional growth and adherence to Board of Nursing standards. The HiRiSE clinic provides preoperative anesthetic evaluations, surgical risk stratification, and care plans for medically complex adult patients before elective surgery. The clinic operates in a collaborative environment that promotes teaching and learning, with a team including anesthesiologists, resident physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, and support staff. The clinic utilizes various resources such as laboratory, imaging, social work, and specialty clinics to provide patient-centered care. Responsibilities
