Requirements
- Vulnerable Sector Check (Essential)
- Current Ontario Registration with the CNO (Essential)
- Current BCLS certificate (Essential)
Nice To Haves
- Two (2) year paediatric experience (Preferred)
- 6 months of Hematology & Oncology experience (Preferred)
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing (Preferred)
- APHON certification (Preferred)
- Bilingual (English/French) (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Practices according to the standards set by the College of Nurses of Ontario, the Hospital and the Oncology PSU
- Provides appropriate learning experiences for the patient and family to promote recovery and wellness
- Is accountable for maintaining competence and developing expertise in the quality of his/her professional practice
- Effectively uses interpersonal, communication and collaborative skills to facilitate a team environment
- Participates in Quality Improvement and Research opportunities
