Requirements

  • Vulnerable Sector Check (Essential)
  • Current Ontario Registration with the CNO (Essential)
  • Current BCLS certificate (Essential)

Nice To Haves

  • Two (2) year paediatric experience (Preferred)
  • 6 months of Hematology & Oncology experience (Preferred)
  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing (Preferred)
  • APHON certification (Preferred)
  • Bilingual (English/French) (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Practices according to the standards set by the College of Nurses of Ontario, the Hospital and the Oncology PSU
  • Provides appropriate learning experiences for the patient and family to promote recovery and wellness
  • Is accountable for maintaining competence and developing expertise in the quality of his/her professional practice
  • Effectively uses interpersonal, communication and collaborative skills to facilitate a team environment
  • Participates in Quality Improvement and Research opportunities
