RN Registered Nurse GYN/Antepartum Full-time Nights
About The Position
The Women’s Center at Texas Health Ft. Worth, a MAGNET, and Texas 10-Step facility, and Maternal Level IV designated facility is seeking a Full Time Registered Nurse for GYN/Antepartum. This role will work Nights (6:45 PM-7:15 AM) for 36 hours/week, with weekend and holiday requirements. The GYN/Antepartum Department is a 27-bed unit combining GYN, High Risk Antepartum, Breast surgery and Postpartum patients. The Registered Nurse will provide care to GYN, post-surgical patients (including hysterectomies, breast surgeries), Postpartum (NICU moms), and Antepartum patients (all gestation levels). This role offers self-scheduling to help with work/life balance, as well as opportunities for educational and career growth. The department has a robust Unit Based Council (UBC) and an engaged leadership team.
Requirements
- Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program Or Nursing Diploma required
- CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency must be complied with
- Registered Nurse (RN) Upon Hire Required
- One-year experience as a Registered Nurse (RN), or completion of an RN residency program.
- BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program within 90 days is required
Nice To Haves
- BSN is preferred
- One year or more of GYN, Antepartum, Women’s Services RN experience strongly preferred
- Fetal monitoring (EFM) knowledge and experience is preferred
Responsibilities
- Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process
- Assesses the patient
- Plans the care of the patient
- Intervenes as appropriate
- Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
- Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care
- Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
- Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
