Registered Nurse / Graduate Nurse - Acute Care
About The Position
This 51-bed unit provides care for high-acuity patients across a wide spectrum of complex specialties. As a Registered Nurse you will collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support patient-centered continuum of care. You will have the ability to communicate variances from patient goals and advocate on behalf of patients. You will maintain accurate and timely healthcare records, administer medications to patients, provide education and monitor for efficacy and side effects. You will also assess, monitor, report and record patient condition and pertinent changes. Additionally, you will design, implement and evaluate patient nursing care plans with the healthcare team and educate patients and family throughout their stay and in preparation for discharge.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program; basic professional nursing degree required (BSN preferred). If a BSN or MSN degree is not present on hire, the employee must agree to obtain within a specific time frame.
- Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse.
- BLS certification (issued through the American Heart Association).
- Superb interpersonal, communication and collaboration abilities.
- Competency in electronic patient management systems.
Nice To Haves
- BSN or MSN preferred
- At least 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care setting highly preferred. Will take a graduate nurse and train.
