About The Position

Healthline 811 is a technology rich, evolving provincial program that offers free, confidential health, mental health & addictions information and supportive telephone advice available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to all residents of Saskatchewan. Current services include health information, service referral, assessment and triage for inbound callers. Healthline 811 outbound call service is expanding and new programs are being developed. Healthline 811 Registered Nurses work in a team environment with Social Workers and Psychiatric Registered Nurses. Requirements

• Recent acute care experience
• 5 years clinical experience using high levels of independent assessment skills
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or Nursing diploma
• Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
• Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
• Typing 25 wpm
• Must be available at any time during shift to assist another caller/patient
• Upload all relevant documents (ex: certificates, diplomas, proof of enrollment, licenses and/or memberships) relating to the qualifications of the position
• Bring a valid Criminal Record Check (CRC) to the interview; it must be dated within six (6) months and include a vulnerable sector search

Responsibilities

• Offer free, confidential health, mental health & addictions information and supportive telephone advice to residents of Saskatchewan
• Provide service referral
• Perform assessment and triage for inbound callers
• Participate in expanding outbound call service and new program development
• Work in a team environment with Social Workers and Psychiatric Registered Nurses
• Be available at any time during shift to assist another caller/patient
