About The Position
HealthLine 811 is a technology-rich, evolving provincial program in Saskatchewan that provides free, confidential health, mental health, and addictions information, along with supportive telephone advice, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Current services include health information, service referral, assessment, and triage for inbound callers. The program is expanding its outbound call service and developing new initiatives. Registered Nurses at HealthLine 811 work collaboratively in a team environment with Social Workers and Psychiatric Registered Nurses. The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA), the largest employer in Saskatchewan with over 45,000 staff, is committed to delivering coordinated, quality, seamless, safe, and patient-centred healthcare services.
Requirements
- Recent acute care experience
- 5 years clinical experience using high levels of independent assessment skills
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or Nursing diploma
- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
- Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
- Typing 25 wpm
- Must be available at any time during shift to assist another caller/patient
