About The Position

The Registered Nurse Float works in the Med Surg Float specialty at Ascension Sacred Heart Pensacola in Pensacola, Florida, on a part-time night schedule. The role implements and monitors patient care plans, observes and communicates patient conditions, coordinates care across disciplines, carries out physician and nursing orders, and coordinates patient needs with the healthcare team.

Requirements

• BLS Provider certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, obtained within 30 days of hire or job transfer.
• Florida Registered Nurse license obtained before hire or job transfer, or a current home-state nursing license eligible for multi-state Compact State recognition.
• Diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing, or required professional licensure at the time of hire.

Nice To Haves

• At least 3 years of RN experience in a hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Coordinate across disciplines to support well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient care needs with members of the healthcare team.
