This is a Full Time Float position. The role involves recording patient information in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), maintaining patient confidentiality, collecting and transporting specimens, preparing for procedures, and assisting providers. The nurse will also be responsible for medication administration, patient education, IV insertion and monitoring, and assessing patients for safety and medication appropriateness. Additionally, the position requires knowledge of emergencies and equipment, identifying abuse victims, maintaining compliance with regulations, and proper instrument care. The nurse will participate in mandatory in-services, staff meetings, and process improvement initiatives. A key aspect of this role is acting as a liaison between patients, families, providers, and staff, and floating to other clinical departments as assigned.
