About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) Float Pool position at Texas Health Plano offers a unique opportunity to work in a variety of departments within a Level II Trauma, four-time Magnet Designated Facility. This role provides self-scheduling to support work-life balance and opportunities for educational and career growth, with an engaged leadership team. The facility boasts the only AACN Beacon Gold Adult Intensive Care Unit in the DFW area and is a comprehensive stroke program.

Requirements

Nursing Diploma in Nursing required or Associate’s degree in nursing required or Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting required
RN – Registered Nurse upon hire required
BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly upon hire required
ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire required
CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days required
A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience in PCU, Stepdown, and Telemetry as a RN strongly preferred
