About The Position
This role involves providing direct nursing care, implementing and monitoring patient care plans, coordinating with various disciplines, and executing physician and nursing orders. The nurse will also assess and coordinate patient discharge planning needs.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
- Previous nursing experience needed
Nice To Haves
- Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care following established organizational policies, procedures, and protocols
- Implement, monitor, record, and communicate patient care plans and condition changes
- Coordinate all disciplines as the primary point of contact for well-coordinated patient care
- Execute physician and nursing orders while assessing and coordinating discharge planning needs
