About The Position

The Registered Nurse Fellowship program is specifically designed for nurses with more than one year of experience seeking to transition into a different specialty. This role is located at Dell Seton Medical Center in the Oncology/Surgical department and is a full-time, rotating shift position. The fellowship cohort is for Fall 2026, with start dates on September 14 or October 12.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
More than one year of experience as a nurse.
Experience seeking to transition into a different specialty.

Responsibilities

Implement, monitor, and document evidence-based patient care plans under structured guidance.
Record and communicate critical shifts in patient conditions directly to the supervising Registered Nurse and care team.
Input and execute physician and nursing orders under the direct supervision of an RN preceptor.
Actively engage in transition-to-practice programs to rapidly refine critical thinking and clinical judgment.
Deliver safe, high-quality, and empathetic care tailored to individual patient needs.
