About The Position
Under the Leadership of the Unit Manager, Supervisor, and /or Charge Nurse, is responsible and accountable for the planning, directing, assessing, and providing nursing care according to the mission, philosophy, policy and procedures of Barstow Community Hospital. Important dimensions of this position consists of quality of care, professional commitment, teamwork, interpersonal skills, safety, good public/customer relations and a fundamental nursing knowledge. Complete all other assignment as directed.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification may be required
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification may be required
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC) certification may be required
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification may be required
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting preferred
- Strong assessment skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
Nice To Haves
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Additional certifications relevant to emergency nursing
