About The Position

This position requires a Registered Nurse with significant emergency room experience to provide care to a diverse patient population, ranging from neonates to geriatrics, in a fast-paced Level 2 trauma center. The role includes handling minor to critical emergencies, including trauma care and evidence collection for sexual assault cases.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years RN experience in Emergency Department settings, excluding travel experience.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC, PALS required.
• Completion of a nursing program approved by a board of nursing.
• Registered Nurse licensure in South Dakota required.

Nice To Haves

• CPI or MAB/MOAB preferred.
• Experience with EPIC charting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient care in a 33-bed main emergency department with trauma/resuscitation and behavioral health areas.
• Perform triage assessments and prioritize patient care appropriately.
• Provide care to a variety of patient types, including trauma and critical care patients.
• Collect evidence in cases of sexual assault, collaborating with the SA Quality Coordinator and utilizing provided resources.
