About The Position

This position involves implementing the nursing process with patients, including carrying out physician orders for diet, medication, and treatment according to Firelands standards of care. The role requires performing assessments, monitoring and ensuring quality care through observation and evaluation, documenting interventions, and reporting findings to physicians. Additionally, the nurse will instruct patients, staff, and family members on treatments and nursing plans, respond to emergencies, maintain supplies, and ensure the cleanliness of equipment and the environment. A key aspect of the role is demonstrating service excellence and embodying the ACE principles (Attitude, Commitment, Enthusiasm), acting as an ambassador and advocate for FRMC.

Requirements

Current Ohio RN license and CPR prior to patient care experience.
Current PALS, ACLS, Basic EKG, and TNCC required or obtained within 6 months of hire and remain current.
Excellent organizational, customer service skills, and computer proficiency are a must.

Responsibilities

Performs assessments; monitors and ensures quality care through observation and evaluation; documents nursing interventions on care plans, medical records, and reports findings to physicians as needed.
Instructs patients, staff, and family members regarding treatments, nursing plans and related patient care directed towards a safe discharge.
Responds to emergencies; maintains availability of medications and supplies; ensures cleanliness of equipment and environment.
Demonstrate service excellence and ACE – Attitude, Commitment, Enthusiasm. Act as an ambassador and advocate for FRMC.
