About The Position

This position involves implementing the nursing process with patients, including carrying out physician orders for diet, medication, and treatment according to Firelands standards of care. The role requires performing assessments, monitoring quality of care, documenting interventions, and reporting findings to physicians. Additionally, the nurse will instruct patients, staff, and family on treatments and care plans, respond to emergencies, maintain medication and supply availability, and ensure equipment and environmental cleanliness. A key aspect of the role is demonstrating service excellence and acting as an ambassador for the organization.

Requirements

Current Ohio RN license
CPR prior to patient care experience
Current PALS, ACLS, Basic EKG, and TNCC required or obtained within 6 months of hire and remain current.
Excellent organizational, customer service skills, and computer proficiency

Responsibilities

Implements the nursing process with patients including carrying out physicians orders regarding diet, medication and treatment in accordance with Firelands standards of care.
Performs assessments; monitors and ensures quality care through observation and evaluation; documents nursing interventions on care plans, medical records, and reports findings to physicians as needed.
Instructs patients, staff, and family members regarding treatments, nursing plans and related patient care directed towards a safe discharge.
Responds to emergencies; maintains availability of medications and supplies; ensures cleanliness of equipment and environment.
Demonstrate service excellence and ACE – Attitude, Commitment, Enthusiasm.
Act as an ambassador and advocate for FRMC.
