About The Position

The Registered Nurse- Epilepsy Monitoring position at Texas Health is a full-time role focused on providing safe, patient-centered care in a dynamic environment. This role is part of the Intermediate Care Unit (ICU Step Down) with EMU/EEG capability, emphasizing teamwork and patient safety. The department offers a supportive, family-like atmosphere with a strong sense of community.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Nursing required, or Associate Degree in Nursing required, or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse, or Successful completion of an RN residency program
  • Registered Nurse (RN) – active license required upon hire
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) – required prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) – required within 90 days of hire
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Training – required within 90 days of hire
  • A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
