About The Position

Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Position renders individualized, age-specific and direct bedside nursing care based on the nursing process and patient needs. Performs all aspects of clinical support for diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. May assist with compilation and reporting of procedural information to benchmarking, regulatory, or accreditation agencies, as required. Participates with all team members to provide and achieve optimal patient outcomes. This position will perform a variety of roles, including monitoring, assisting the physician scrubbing procedures and using the pacing stimulator. This position has assigned “late stay” call to finish scheduled procedures during the week. No call on nights, holidays or weekends.

Requirements

• Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing school
• License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona.
• Meets the American Heart Association’s standards for Healthcare Provider Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) & Basic Life Support (BLS) and renews every two years.
• Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to work with team members are required.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with occasional periods of above-average pressure.
• Must be able to tolerate long periods of standing and wearing the additional weight of lead aprons during procedures.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must have basic computer skills

Nice To Haves

• BSN
• A minimum of 1+ years Emergency Department, ICU or Procedural setting nursing experience may be considered.
• At least one (1) year of prior Cardiac Cath/ EP Lab experience preferred.
• Hemodynamics experience preferred.
• Certification in specialty area of practice preferred.
• Strongly preferred expr in CVICU or ICU or Min 2 years in Cardiac Stepdown.
• Certified as a Critical Care Nurse (CCRN) is preferred
