Registered Nurse (RN) - EP Lab (Electrophysiology)
About The Position
This role is for a Registered Nurse in the Electrophysiology (EP) Lab, focused on expanding knowledge and skills. The nurse will provide effective direct care to complex patients as part of an interdisciplinary team, managing care and implementing treatment plans in collaboration with patients, families, physicians, and other healthcare team members. The position involves seeking and providing feedback for improved clinical practice and assumes a beginning leadership role with a need for mentoring. The job description integrates the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements, and the UVA Nursing Professional Practice Model. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
- 1 year of relevant experience.
- Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
Responsibilities
- Provide effective direct care to a variety of complex patients as part of the interdisciplinary team.
- Manage care and implement treatment plans at a refined skill level in collaboration with patients, their families, physicians, and other members of the health care team.
- Seek and provide feedback for improved clinical practice.
- Assume a beginning leadership role, seeking mentoring in this process.
