About The Position

We have an innovative cardiovascular program and we are looking for caring knowledgeable Registered Nurses to add to our team. We have 16 Cath Lab Same Day Surgery rooms and five Cardiac Cath Lab procedure rooms and two treatment rooms. We work with 10 Cardiologist and seven of which are interventionist and one electrophysiologist.

Requirements

New grads are required to complete Norman Regional's Nurse Residency Program.
Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required
Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
Current BLS and ALS is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
Electrophysiology experience preferred
Advanced Life Support (ALS) training is preferred upon hire / required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

Systematically assesses / reassesses the health care needs of individuals; appropriate for specific age groups and patient conditions. Involves patient, family and other healthcare providers as appropriate.
Analyzes assessment to determine nursing diagnosis and expected outcomes, involving patient, family and other healthcare providers as appropriate.
Provides nursing care through interventions to achieve goals and needs using professional judgement guided by current evidence-based practice, regulations and policy.
Evaluates patient outcomes by utilizing the critical thinking process and evidence based knowledge to recognize problems, evaluate facts and sound conclusions.
Evaluates discharge needs related to plan of care utilizing resources as needed.
Care of the Electrophysiology Lab Patient.
