About The Position
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Endoscopy/Gastrointestinal team. This role involves providing direct patient care before, during, and after endoscopic procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in endoscopy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This position requires a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.
Requirements
- New York State RN License
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association only)
- ACLS Certification (American Heart Association only)
- Minimum of 2 years of prior experience in endoscopy procedures
- Experience in telemetry monitoring and rhythm identification
- Proficiency in conscious sedation
- Expertise in IV insertion
- Experience in recovering patients from general anesthesia
- Experience in performing intake for gastrointestinal procedures

Responsibilities
- Answering patient questions and addressing their concerns
- Observing patient vital signs
- Sedating patients before procedures
- Recovering patients after procedures
- Administering necessary medication to patients
- Completing all required documentation, including patient notes and discharge documents
- Preparing instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures
- Cleaning and sterilizing equipment before use
- Assisting physicians throughout procedures
- Administering IV drips
