About The Position

Our Parkville Endocrinology Clinic is now seeking a FT RN to join our team! This is a full-time, day shift position, Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The role involves phone triage, prior authorizations, medication refills, and nurse visits for injections. The Registered Nurse is accountable for utilizing the nursing process, performing patient care, delegating patient care tasks, and supervising other patient care staff. They are responsible for coordinating the plan of care for assigned patients and consulting with the healthcare team for optimal patient outcomes. This clinical nurse demonstrates proficiency and adheres to policies, rules, guidelines, and procedures. In a clinic setting, they provide professional nursing care following established standards and practices. Responsibilities include telephone triage, patient flow, and coordination of patient care. The nurse schedules emergent need patient appointments, identifies learning needs for patients and families, provides advice and recommendations, and performs other duties as assigned based on clinic needs. Tasks are delegated to clinical staff in accordance with demonstrated competencies and Scope of Practice. The role requires being a subject matter expert for patient education, assessment, interpretation, and documentation of patient care and testing. Orders are entered as directed by the provider, and the nurse is responsible for managing samples. The ability to work both in a team atmosphere and autonomously is essential, along with excellent customer service skills and a professional demeanor at all times. The role may also involve covering Medical Assistant, LPN, or other office duties as needed.

Requirements

  • Less than 1 year of applicable experience
  • Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
  • Registered Nurse (KS) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS)
  • Registered Nurse (MO) - National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS)
  • Associate Degree
