About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The emergency room services a diverse population with a significant focus on elderly patients, including pediatric cases. It is recognized as a Level II trauma center.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an emergency room setting.
• Active Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
• Current CPR and ACLS certifications
• NIH Stroke certification
• PALS certification
• TNCC or TNS certification
• Passed an EKG test with a score of 80% or higher prior to the first day of work.

Nice To Haves

• Epic experience is highly preferred, as the emergency room conducts a high volume of patient interactions.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the emergency department.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care based on individual needs.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Assist with diagnostic tests and procedures as needed.
• Educate patients and their families on health management and emergency care procedures.
