About The Position

Capital Health is seeking qualified Registered Nurses (RNs) for its Patient Care Services PRN Program in the Emergency Room (ER). This program offers market-based compensation, including certification pay, to reward PRN employees for staffing difficult-to-staff shifts and to attract qualified nurses. PRN staff are required to work three holidays (one winter, one summer, and one difficult-to-staff) and may be included in on-call rotations in affected areas. The ER positions involve 8 or 12-hour shifts, with a minimum schedule of 84 hours per 6-week pay period, including at least 3 weekend shifts.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree or graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Minimum of 2 years of ER experience.
  • AHA BLS - Healthcare Provider certification.
  • Registered Nurse - NJ license.

Nice To Haves

  • National certification.

Responsibilities

  • Staffing difficult-to-staff shifts in the Emergency Room.
  • Working a minimum of 84 hours per 6-week pay period.
  • Working a minimum of 3 weekend shifts (36 hours) per 6-week pay period.
  • Working 1 winter holiday, 1 summer holiday, and 1 difficult-to-staff holiday.
  • Participating in on-call rotations as needed in affected areas.
