Registered Nurse - Emergency Room - Weekend Only
About The Position
In the Emergency Department (ED) at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, the Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in delivering care to emergent and critical patients. This role involves engaging in didactic learning sessions to enhance understanding of ED nursing, utilizing a state-of-the-art simulation lab, and applying critical thinking skills to manage high-acuity and complex patients effectively. Opportunities for professional growth include pursuing certification as a trauma nurse in a Level 1 Trauma Center. This role is not designed for new graduates or those seeking training as an Emergency Room nurse; candidates must be able to function independently.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing.
- Valid RN license in Connecticut.
- One or more years of Emergency Room nursing experience.
- Ability to function independently in the Emergency Room.
Nice To Haves
- BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- ACLS and TNCC certification
