About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department (ED) for a 13-week contract opportunity in Watertown, New York. The RN will provide comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients with acute, urgent, and life-threatening conditions while using strong clinical judgment, assessment, prioritization, and problem-solving skills. Candidates must have previous travel nursing experience and Meditech experience. Critical care and charge nurse experience are preferred.

Requirements

• Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) License Required.
• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing Required.
• Previous Travel Nursing Experience Required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certifications Required.
• Meditech Experience Required.
• Ability to Complete Required Dysrhythmia, Defibrillation, IV, Medication, and Phlebotomy Competencies Within the Requisition-Specified Timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Perform rapid and comprehensive patient assessments, identify life-threatening conditions, and initiate appropriate emergency nursing interventions.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, treatments, and emergency care while continuously evaluating patient response and clinical status.
• Prioritize and coordinate care in a high-acuity Emergency Department while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals.
• Provide patient and family education while addressing clinical, emotional, safety, and discharge-related needs.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in Meditech and provide leadership, delegation, and charge nurse support when assigned.
