About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Department plays a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures. This role utilizes evidence-based practice, clinical decision-making, compassion, and communication skills while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum. Atrium Health Pineville Emergency Department is a high acuity facility that sees all ages and is a primary stroke & STEMI center, includes 35 Emergency treatment rooms, three resuscitation rooms and 6 holding rooms, 4-bay Triage area, 3 Landing Zone rooms, Imaging Services to support the ED (CT, Ultrasound and X-ray) Lab, Social Work, Geriatric, and Pharmacy Services.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
  • At least 6 months of RN experience.
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • ACLS required within 6 months of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of inpatient RN experience preferred.
