About The Position

The Staff Pad has partnered with a reputed healthcare organization in Hamilton, TX and we are looking to hire a skilled and dependable Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department to provide professional emergency nursing care and with independence and clinical judgment. In this role you will prioritize patient care based on clinical needs, communicate critical changes to physicians, and respond quickly and effectively to changes in patient condition or treatment outcomes.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Active Texas RN license required
  • Current CPR certification; BCLS and ACLS preferred
  • Strong communication, computer, and EKG interpretation skills

Nice To Haves

  • One year of RN experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality patient care, evaluate outcomes, and adjust care plans as needed
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments and reassessments across all age groups
  • Monitor hemodynamic status of patient and interpret results accurately
  • Monitor cardiac rhythms, identify dysrhythmias, and respond with appropriate interventions
  • Accurately triage patients based on clinical needs & maintain thorough documentation
  • Provide compassionate, culturally sensitive care & act as a liaison between patients, providers, care teams & collaborate to achieve departmental goals
  • Deliver age-appropriate care by assessing and addressing age-specific patient needs
  • Engage patients and families in care planning and decision-making
  • Develop and deliver patient/family education, including pain management and care planning
  • Administer medications safely and appropriately based on patient age and condition
  • Prepare, hang, monitor, & discontinue IV fluids, blood, and blood products
  • Follow departmental policies, safety standards, and infection control protocols
  • Maintain a safe, therapeutic, and patient-centered environment
  • Support cost-effective use of supplies and equipment & adapt quickly to changing workloads and priorities
  • Provide clinical leadership through staff supervision, mentoring, and onboarding
  • Assist physicians with ED procedures & the ED Nurse Manager in performance improvement initiatives that enhance patient outcomes
  • Pursue ongoing professional development through education and training
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Maintain professionalism and comply with training and regulatory requirements
  • Protect patient privacy and confidentiality & maintain reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Participate in meetings, reviews, & professional development
