About The Position

This is a full-time night position in the Emergency Department (ED) at Texas Health Dallas. The role involves delivering high-quality patient care, focusing on basic human needs, human respect, understanding unique meanings, affiliation needs, and mutual problem-solving. Texas Health Dallas is a Magnet-designated, full-service hospital with over 50 years of experience, specializing in various areas including emergency medicine. The department is fast-paced and high-volume, averaging 200 patients per day, and offers self-scheduling for work-life balance.

Requirements

Nursing Diploma in Nursing required or Associate’s degree in nursing required or Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred
1 year of experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program required.
RN – Registered upon hire required
BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire required
PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days of hire required
CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention training annually within 90 days required
TNCC – Trauma Nursing Core Course within 6 months required or ATCN – Advanced Trauma Care Nurse within 6 months required
A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

1 year of emergency department acute care experience strongly preferred
