About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced acute care environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong emergency nursing skills, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to effectively manage patients with a wide range of medical, surgical, and trauma-related conditions.

Requirements

  • Minimum 18 months of Emergency Department nursing experience required.
  • Emergency Department experience within the last 6 months required.
  • Experience with Medical Surgical and Telemetry patient populations required.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required.
  • Active New Jersey RN License or Compact RN License.
  • BLS (AHA) Certification.
  • ACLS Certification.
  • PALS Certification.
  • NIHSS Certification.
  • Telemetry Certification.
  • CEU Contact Stroke Education (4 Hours).
  • Emergency patient assessment and triage.
  • Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation.
  • Medical Surgical nursing skills.
  • Strong critical thinking and clinical decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to perform effectively in a high-acuity emergency care environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum 2 years of overall nursing experience preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform rapid patient assessments and prioritize care based on acuity.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
  • Provide emergency nursing care for patients presenting with medical, surgical, and traumatic conditions.
  • Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in clinical status.
  • Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to physician orders and established protocols.
  • Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
  • Adhere to evidence-based practice standards, patient safety initiatives, and infection prevention protocols.
  • Float within competency as needed to support patient care operations.
