About The Position

The Emergency Department (ED) at AHMC - Alice Hyde Medical Center sees 35-55 patients in a 24-hour period, operating with 11 beds and 4 additional hall beds to accommodate volume surges. This is a bargaining union position. Alice Hyde Medical Center is part of the University of Vermont Health, a six-hospital network serving patients and their families in Northern New York and Vermont. Requirements

• 1 year Med/Surg experience
• ACLS required
• PALS required

Nice To Haves

• Critical Care experience preferred
• TNCC encouraged
• Certification in Emergency Nursing encouraged

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Monitor patients under sedation.
• Perform ESI/triage.
• Respond to patient needs during Eve/Night shifts, including every other weekend.
