The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice and coordination of care with other health team members. Our Emergency Department is a 26-bed, Level I Trauma Center and an Accredited Chest Pain and Stroke Center. We are a high-volume department serving Billings and surrounding communities, extending east into the Dakotas and south into Wyoming. Our region is supported by a dedicated air medical transport team and EMS ground crews, providing care for a diverse and complex patient population. With a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 4:1, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care while fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment. Our nurses work closely with emergency providers, ancillary departments, and specialty teams to provide the highest quality care possible. We pride ourselves on our unique culture where team members feel welcomed, valued, and supported. Many describe our department as an "ED family" where teamwork, mentorship, and professional growth are encouraged every day.
