Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
About The Position
The Emergency Department at AHMC - Alice Hyde Medical Center sees 35-55 patients in a 24-hour period, operating with 11 beds and 4 additional hall beds to accommodate volume surges. This is a part-time, bargaining union position with standard hours of 24 biweekly, scheduled for the night shift (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM). Nurses will be required to work weekends as scheduled. The role includes ESI/triage education, education related to monitoring patients under sedation during orientation, and de-escalation training. Certification in Emergency Nursing is encouraged and supported.
Requirements
- 1 year Med/Surg experience
- ACLS required
- PALS required
Nice To Haves
- Critical Care experience preferred
- TNCC encouraged
- Certification in Emergency Nursing is encouraged and supported
Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients in the Emergency Department.
- Perform ESI/triage.
- Monitor patients under sedation.
- Participate in de-escalation training.
