About The Position

The Emergency Department (ED) at this facility is a high-volume unit with 64 beds, including Triage, Acute care, Super Track, Trauma, CDU, and Psych areas. The nursing staff is expected to provide care to a diverse patient population, from newborns to geriatrics, with common diagnoses including Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, MI, Cardiac Arrest, and Respiratory Failure. Nurses will utilize specialty equipment such as the Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun. The role requires flexibility as floating to other units may be necessary. Charge capability is highly preferred.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department.
Experience with PEDS patients.
Documented travel experience.
EMR Experience Required: EPIC.
Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS.
TNCC must be in hand.
NURSYs Report.
Licenses verification with ACTIVE NY License & ALL RN licenses.

Responsibilities

Provide care to all assigned patients in the Emergency Department, including SANE.
Manage common patient diagnoses such as Stroke, Sepsis, Trauma, MI, Cardiac Arrest, and Resp Failure.
Utilize specialty equipment including Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun.
Float to other units as required.
Provide care to a diverse patient population including Newborn, Pediatrics, Adults, and Geriatric patients.
