About The Position

The Registered Nurse Educator works in the Surgery department at Columbia St Mary's Milwaukee in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The role collaborates with nurse managers and staff to assess learning needs and competencies, and develops, implements, and evaluates educational plans and programs. The educator uses methods, measurements, and tools to evaluate whether learning goals are achieved, identifies or develops teaching tools and instructional materials, keeps records of educational activities, and prepares reports.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse credential from the Wisconsin Board of Nursing, obtained before the hire date or job transfer date; alternatively, a Wisconsin license or current home-state license if considered a multi-state/Compact State.
• Diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing, or required professional licensure at the time of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Educator specializing in Childbirth.
• Advanced Life Support certification; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification accepted.
• BLS Provider certification; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification accepted.
