About The Position

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department delivers compassionate, direct nursing care according to established clinical protocols, ensuring safe, high-quality treatment tailored to each patient’s needs. The nurse coordinates care across medical disciplines, serving as a central point of contact for a seamless patient experience. Responsibilities also include implementing care plans and coordinating discharge needs with the healthcare team to support a safe transition to the next stage of recovery.

The role is located at Ascension Saint Thomas Rutherford in Murfreesboro, Tennessee, and is scheduled for evenings on a part-time basis.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse credential obtained before the hire date or job transfer date.
• Advanced Life Support certification obtained within 6 months (180 days) of hire or job transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month (30 days) of hire or job transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Diploma from an accredited school or college of nursing, or required professional licensure at the time of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification; American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
